What Is CT74 Used For?
CERESIT® CT74 is a silicone-based decorative render designed for creating durable thin-layer finishes on exterior façades. It is suitable for use on prepared mineral substrates, concrete, traditional renders, gypsum boards, chipboard panels, and external wall insulation systems.
CT74 is especially suitable for use within the CERESIT Ceretherm ETICS system, where it provides a flexible, weather-resistant and vapour-permeable top coat. This helps protect the façade from rain and changing weather conditions while still allowing moisture vapour to escape from the wall structure.
The silicone formula creates a hydrophobic surface that helps repel water and supports a self-cleaning effect. This makes CT74 a strong choice for UK façade projects, refurbishments, new builds and external wall insulation work where long-term appearance and protection are important.
Enhanced with BioProtect technology, CT74 helps reduce the risk of algae, mould and fungal growth on the finished surface. It can be applied manually or by machine, making it suitable for both smaller projects and larger professional render applications.

For best results, apply CERESIT CT74 over a properly prepared and primed surface. Use CERESIT CT16 primer to improve adhesion and help achieve a consistent final colour. For reinforcement and base coat preparation within the insulation system, consider CERESIT CT85 Flex Adhesive and Base Coat.
