Description
The SOLID Paint Tray 14cm x 30cm holds a manageable amount of coating and provides a textured area for loading a compatible roller. This orange tray is supplied individually under store reference 5308. Pair it with a suitably sized sleeve and handle for your decorating job.
Reservoir and roller-loading area
The deeper end of the tray holds the paint, while the raised patterned area helps distribute the coating across the roller sleeve. Dip the roller into a small amount of paint, then roll it over the textured section to remove excess and spread the coating more evenly.
The listed tray size is 14cm x 30cm. Check your roller against the available working space before use so that it can turn freely without catching the sides. Select the roller sleeve according to the coating and the surface you intend to paint.

Preparing for decorating
Place the tray on a stable, level surface and protect nearby flooring or furnishings from paint splashes. Check compatibility with the selected paint or coating before filling it. Follow the coating manufacturer’s preparation, application and ventilation instructions throughout the job.
Use small quantities of paint and refill as required. Do not overfill the reservoir, and take care when moving the tray between work areas. If the coating requires an exact mixing ratio, use a separate suitable measuring vessel rather than treating the tray as a calibrated container.
Cleaning and storage
Remove remaining coating and clean the tray before paint hardens on its loading surface. Use a cleaning method suitable for both the coating and the tray, and dispose of residues and wash water appropriately. Allow the tray to dry before storage and protect it from being crushed beneath other equipment.
See our painting tools for related decorating equipment. Paint, rollers, handles, liners and protective sheets are sold separately.
