Description
The TRACER Pro Precision Construction Pencil Kit is a refillable marking pencil set for site and workshop work. Kit reference APPK1-PRO includes the precision pencil, its holster and a pack of 24 graphite replacement leads in a protective dispenser. The pencil uses 1.3mm leads for controlled marking.
Precision pencil and replacement leads
The pencil has an aluminium body and a textured grip area. Its anti-roll shape helps it stay where you put it on a suitable flat surface. The supplied 1.3mm graphite leads are 110mm long, and the separate dispenser helps keep the replacements together and protected during transport.
A refillable pencil lets you replace the lead while continuing to use the same body and holster. Check the replacement lead diameter before buying refills: this precision model uses 1.3mm leads. Other lead sizes in the TRACER range are intended for different pencils.

Marking and setting out
Select a line position that remains visible for the next stage of the job. Check the measurements before marking and recheck important dimensions before cutting or fixing. On a finished surface, test the graphite mark in an inconspicuous area first and check how it can be removed.
Keep the exposed lead length suitable for the task and avoid pressing harder than necessary. Support the workpiece and use an appropriate ruler, square or other guide when a straight or accurately positioned line is required.
Storage and care
Return the pencil to its holster when it is not in use and keep spare leads in the dispenser. Protect the tip from knocks and keep dirt out of the pencil mechanism.
