Description
Klimas Insulation Fixings 10mm: High-Performance LMX-10
Ensure structural compliance on your next External Wall Insulation project with Klimas insulation fixings 10mm anchors. The Klimas Wkręt-met LMX-10 is a premium, European Technical Assessment (ETA) approved hammer-in fastener. Consequently, it works perfectly for securing heavy-duty Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) insulation systems across all standard masonry substrate walls. Additionally, it offers excellent pull-out resistance parameters.
Key Features of Klimas Insulation Fixings 10mm
- Anti-Cold Bridge Engineering: The galvanized steel core pin features a specialized plastic-insulated head. Therefore, it completely stops heat transfer and eliminates unsightly spot discolouration on finished exterior render surfaces.
- Optimized Expansion Zone: The heavy-duty sleeve features a short, high-strength anchorage block. Because of this design, it ensures immediate mechanical grip while minimizing necessary substrate drilling depths.
- Telescopic Flush Finish: The wide retaining plate integrates seamlessly with rigid insulation board surfaces. As a result, it sits perfectly flush without crushing or cracking brittle foam boards.
- Universal Substrate Compatibility: These premium 10mm fasteners are certified for structural anchorage in hard concrete and solid brick. Furthermore, they work reliably in perforated clay blocks, lightweight aggregate blocks, and aerated concrete.

Installation Guidelines for 10mm Fasteners
For more detailed data on structural anchor patterns, you can read the official Building Research Institute guidelines.
- First, mount the EPS insulation boards tightly using standard EWI basecoat adhesive. For additional supplies, browse our complete collection of EWI installation adhesives.
- Next, drill a perpendicular 10mm hole through the insulation layer and into the wall substrate. Use standard rotary mode for hollow blockwork or hammer mode for dense concrete. Ensure the hole depth is 10mm longer than the fixing penetration.
- Subsequently, clear debris out of the hole by cycling the drill bit twice.
- Finally, push the plastic anchor body into the hole until the flange sits against the board. Then, hammer the metal core pin flush with the surface.
