What Is Ceresit ZU Used For?
CERESIT® ZU is a high-performance base coat and adhesive. It plays a key role in external thermal insulation systems (ETICS). The product bonds expanded (EPS) and extruded (XPS) polystyrene boards to mineral surfaces. It also creates a strong layer for embedding reinforcing mesh.
This dual-purpose mortar is widely used in façade insulation projects. It offers strong adhesion, flexibility, and resistance to mechanical stress. Whether you’re working on a new build or upgrading an older property, CERESIT ZU delivers long-lasting performance and protection.
Moreover, it performs especially well within the CERESIT ETICS system. Its vapour permeability allows walls to breathe. At the same time, it protects against moisture and thermal changes.
The product comes in 25 kg bags. You can apply it manually or with a spray machine. After curing, it forms a stable base for finishing coats, such as silicone or acrylic render.
