Ceresit CT190 MW Flex is an adhesive and reinforcing mortar for mineral wool external wall insulation systems. Supplied in a 25kg bag, it is used for fixing mineral wool façade boards and forming the mesh-reinforced protective layer over the insulation. It is part of the Ceresit Ceretherm Wool system range.

Two stages of mineral wool insulation work
CT190 serves both as an adhesive for the mineral wool boards and as mortar for the reinforced layer. Ceresit identifies adhesion to mineral substrates and mineral wool, flexibility, impact resistance and vapour permeability among its features. Choose the complete insulation system and its components together so that the adhesive, insulation, anchors, mesh, primer and finish follow the specified build-up.
Preparation and application
The receiving substrate must be sound, dry, clean and free from materials that reduce adhesion. Existing coatings and plaster need checking before work starts. Follow the current Ceresit technical data sheet for preparation, mixing, application and curing, including the treatment of the mineral wool surface and the sequence for reinforcement.
Plan the job before opening bags. Confirm the area to be covered and use the current consumption guidance for the particular application when estimating quantities. Adhesive and reinforced-layer work have different requirements, so do not assume that one coverage figure applies to every stage or surface. Allow the system designer or installer to confirm the required build-up where the existing wall condition is uncertain.
Handling and storage
Keep bags protected from moisture and check the product identification and storage information on the supplied packaging. Prepare only material that can be applied within the working time stated by Ceresit. Keep the mixing area organised and use clean equipment so that contamination does not affect the batch.
Wear the protection specified in the safety information and follow the instructions supplied with the mortar. Protect adjoining surfaces during mixing and application. Mesh, boards, anchors and finishing materials are purchased separately from this 25kg bag.
