What Is Kilsaran OCR One Coat Render Used For?
Kilsaran KPRO Façade OCR is a fine-grained, one coat base render for use on both internal and external walls. It is a CS III render that complies with EN 998-1, and can be applied by hand or by spray rendering machine.
OCR can be finished as a napped, sponged or floated surface. It is most often used as a durable basecoat beneath KPRO decorative finishes, and internally as a basecoat for gypsum skim or as an air-tight parge coat.
Because it is factory pre-mixed, OCR removes inaccurate site mixing and gives a consistent, high-quality render with low shrinkage and good crack resistance.

How Much Does a 25kg Bag of OCR Cover?
| 8mm thickness | approx. 1.50m² per 25kg bag |
| 10mm thickness | approx. 1.25m² per 25kg bag |
| 15mm thickness | approx. 0.85m² per 25kg bag |
Application thicknesses of 8–20mm are possible. When OCR is used externally as a basecoat for thin-coat decorative finishes or silicone paints, a minimum coat thickness of 15mm is required.
Mixing and Application
Mix in a suitable site mixer, continuous mixer or spray render machine using approx. 4.5–5.0 litres of clean water per 25kg bag. When mixing by hand drill or site mixer, allow the material to stand for 1–2 minutes, then remix. Do not add extra water later, as this affects the performance of the render. No scud coat is needed when spray applied. Apply in accordance with EN 13914 and the Kilsaran data sheet.
