The supplied pencil uses 2.8mm graphite leads, as identified on the packaging. The mix of pencil and ink markers gives you a choice of marking methods for different stages of a job. Choose the tool according to the surface and the type of line or point you need to leave.
Organised storage
The case has a five-slot internal storage frame to hold the tools in place. Magnetic clasps keep the case closed, and integrated magnets allow it to attach to suitable metal surfaces or equipment. Keeping the tools in their assigned positions makes it easier to check the kit before leaving a work area.
Using your marking tools
Check the measurements and the position of the mark before cutting, drilling or fixing. Test the selected pencil or marker on an inconspicuous area, particularly on a finished or decorative surface. Permanent ink may leave a lasting mark, so plan where it will be visible and whether the mark can remain on the completed work.
Use the long nib or deep hole tool where its shape helps you reach a fixing position through a component. Keep the component steady while marking and confirm the final position after moving it. Use suitable measuring and setting-out tools alongside the kit.
Care and product reference
Replace marker caps after use and protect the tips from damage. Keep spare leads in their dispenser and use compatible replacements. Return the tools to the case for storage and transport.
